Advanced Reptile Workshop

KTTC hosting workshop offered by The Reptiles at Risk On The Road Program – November 25th, 2014

Kawartha Turtle Trauma Centre will be hosting an advanced reptile workshop on November 25th, most likely in the morning, in Peterborough!

The workshop will be presented by The Reptiles at Risk On The Road Program, the same host as the workshop held last year which some of you may have caught.

This workshop is suitable for advanced herpetofauna enthusiasts. It will provide detailed information about Ontario reptiles, focusing on species found locally. Topics will include species identification, life history, handling techniques, conservation status and threats, mitigation strategies, and legislative issues. Following the presentation portion of the workshop, a hands-on session will provide an opportunity for participants to practice and become familiar with the handling of these reptiles.

This workshop will only run if there is enough interest so send your RSVP to Lindsay at!
